Best Fit Hearing Aids

Oticon Dynamo SP8
he Dynamo series is available in a Behind-the-Ear model only and is rated excellent for sound quality. It also offers wireless connectivity with the use of the Streamer Pro accessory. Our experts are not fans of the old-style volume wheel with the numbers on it. Some clients complain about having to constantly fiddle with the volume wheel, leaving the sound level unbalanced between both ears. Other clients love the wheel and have bemoaned the loss of it in other models of hearing aid. Of note, although hearing aids do not come with an “on/off” switch, the volume wheel on this model turns off the hearing aids when turned all the way down. A new feature with the Dynamo hearing aids is the introduction of frequency-lowering technology – a great feature for clients with dead high-frequency regions in the cochlea. This enables us to present a copy of high-frequency sound in a lower-frequency range, while still allowing the high-frequency sound to remain true. Frequency-lowering, in these cases, is a critical component of excellent sound quality.

Resound has a Unite TV and remote microphone as well as a remote control accessory as well.
The physical size of both styles are large, yet the overall hearing aid is not terribly bulky on the ears.
Clients with dead high-frequency regions in the cochlea can benefit from the Enzo frequency-lowering capability. Frequency-lowering, in cases of severe to profound hearing losses, is a critical component of extending the listeners ability to functionally hear high-pitch sounds.
